Science Night with the Kids illuminates how life can be messy, but God’s Love lights our way!
Tonight, at the Kingdom Kids monthly science night, Miss Francesca led the kids in creating their own lava lamps using water, vegetable oil, food coloring and selzer tablets!
People can let us down, accidents can happen but Psalm 119:11 states the God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.”
Kids were encouraged to dust off their Bibles and begin to read and apply it to their lives.
We begin every Wednesday with a pledge: “I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word. I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide its word in my heart that I might not sin against God.”
Teaching the importance of God’s Word at a young age is a vital part of training for both our parents and the Kids Ministry at First Baptist Church.
To finish out the evening, Miss Francesca brought a demonstration with dry ice, soap and water to emphasize that while God’s Word lights our way, He also cleanses us from all our mistakes & messes!
Psalm 51:7 says, “Wash me and I will be whiter than snow.”
Sometimes we all need visual reminders of Spiritual truth. Small lava lamps and exploding bubbles are just little ways to drive home truth!
I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Just like the kids washed their hands in Miss Francesca’s bubbles after a messy experiment. We all need to run to God for forgiveness when we mess up and crack open our Bibles again to let Him light our paths.
Take a moment to reflect on your life, confess your sins, and get in the Word again! Every time you see bubbles, remember… run to Jesus!
